OR Forum - What's Happened in Search Theory Since the 1975 Lanchester Prize?

This article is based on a talk that I gave at the 1988 TIMS/ORSA meeting in Washington, D.C. about developments in search theory since the Lanchester Prize for 1975 was awarded to me for Theory of Optimal Search. The answer to the question in the title is that a lot has happened, particularly in the area of the search for moving targets and in the use of computers in search theory and applications.
