Bayesian deconvolution III: Applications and algorithm implementation

Abstract A Bayesian based deconvolution procedure for which previous basic studies have been reported is used to process experimental data, the main thrust being the application of the technique to spectral information characteristic of several fields. In the cases examined significant improvement in resolution is achieved without excessive growth in the level of associated statistical noise. This can be traced to the positivity of solution inherent in the method. A description of the manner in which the algorithm has been implemented and a discussion of the computer requirements are also included.
