Tourism Development and Responsible Practices

The responsible tourism practices have been identified as an ideal framework to sustain the growth and minimize the constructive effects of tourism development. To confirm the conjuncture, this study examines the moderating effect of responsible tourism practices on the relationship between tourism development and quality of life. Self-administered questionnaires were distributed using quota sampling. The collected data were tested with the reliability and validity analysis, and the research hypotheses are tested using multiple regression analysis. The study findings indicated that the residents’ of Pangkor Island agreed that responsible tourism practices affect their quality of life positively. 2398-4295 © 2016. The Authors.
