FPGA implementation of advanced health care system using Zig-Bee enabled RFID technology

In the age of growing population, critical issues in health care system made a nation somehow struggling against the inefficient health care. Delay and simple error may cause fatal cases keeping nation staggered. With the advancement of electronic industry, the microprocessor obsolescence is a major concern. The adaptive VLSI design is an emergent trend to move from bespoke custom microprocessor based system to the soft core processor embedded within FPGA/CPLD due to the demanding advantages like low NRE cost, low time to market, less hardware, excellent design flexibility & reprogram ability, low power consumption and high speed performance. In electronic industry there are so many areas, like wireless communications, robotics etc, where adaptive design has been implemented. In this aspect, an attempt has been made to design and implement an advanced health care system in this article using Zigbee enabled RFID technology in accordance with the advanced VLSI design of the processor. The system is very fast and cost effective acquiring almost 0% identification error. Xilinx ISE 14.3 simulator has been used to simulate the processor module and the hardware of the processor has been implemented up to the RTL schematic level and in order to substantiate our design we have used high performance Kintex-7 FPGA board.
