Research on Control Algorithm of Auto Area Dynamic Positioning System

To meet the need of dynamic positioning auto area keeping control, several control plans were proposed, and energy cost was considered as the most important factor in appraising the control result. Fuzzy logic control was applied in order to reduce the influence on thrusters by input error. Simulation result showed that keeping heading close to the mean most favorable heading(MFH) and not keeping controlling the movement of sway and surge direction was the most favorable control plan.
