Analyzing a computer facility queueing problem by simulation

Abstract This paper puts forward a “C” simulation model for the analysis of queueing systems. The model is applied to a computer facility queueing problem with and without preemption. The C program was executed on a PS2 using DOS 3.30, and TURBO C-10. The program is easy to understand and implement, and can be used to simulate considerably more complicated queueing systems than the one presented.
