Design of a novel optical tomography sensor array

In this paper, we put forward novel theories and their empirical formulae for pixel distribution and plane-light-path design in optical fibre process tomography (OFPT), by which the novel OFPT structure parameters can be easily calculated according to the engineering requirements. The designed OFPT system can be used in the circular cross-section of cylindrical space in industry process monitoring and control to measure the medium distribution and contents, such as measurements for two-phase flows.
