An active caching scheme

Network caching can reduce bandwidth usage, decrease user perceived latencies, and reduce the original server load. However, how to deploy a self-organizing caching infrastructure over the Internet and how to keep the dynamic contents in the caches coherence have become crucial problems. In this paper, we propose an active caching scheme to ensure the users get valid documents all along even if the documents are fast-changed. The main contribution is proposed an auto-organizing multicast tree mechanism and an adaptive data refresh algorithm.
