Modeling and Simulation for Landing of Undercarriage Based on Magnetorheological Damper

The magnetorheological(MR) damper based on semi-active control is suitable for improving the dynamic performances of aircraft landing gear.For the formerly designed multi-ring groove structure MR damper,a mechanics model is established according to rheological dynamics.Further more,an aircraft landing gear dynamics model used for Matlab simulation is proposed.The relationships between the excitation current and the parameters such as vibration amplitude,frequency and settling time are obtained for different body weight and vertical landing velocity component.The simulation results show that the landing gear vibration parameters is easy to be controlled via a proper control current,and the ideal dynamic performance can be achieved.
