A Decision Support System for Assurance of Quality of Service in Intelligent Network Service Provisioning

Given the complexity of future services and networks the task of service provisioning will become increasingly difficult. A particular problem during provisioning is the assurance of Quality of Service (QoS) to customers where different services will have different QoS needs. In this paper a Decision Support Tool which addresses the problem of assuring QoS when provisioning services in an Intelligent Network is presented. The techniques used, in particular the queuing models, are discussed.
