Prospectives in STAP research

Space-time adaptive processing (STAP) has become a major research topic in the past decade. Applications are in the areas of clutter suppression for moving radar, mitigation terrain scattered jamming, and jammer rejection in broadband radar. The fundamentals are well understood, however, implementation in radar requires additional effort. There are several specific aspects which are currently under research. Some of them are presented in this paper.
