A simplified implementation of the test protocol for the IEC flickermeter

It has been reported that different flickermeters, compliant with the IEC 61000-4-15 standard, measure different Pst values for the same input signal. The CIGRE WG 2 on Power Quality is currently working on the definition of a test protocol that will help flickermeter manufacturers obtain reproducible results for all practical voltage fluctuations. We have developed an automatic test system that implements the test protocol. The system consists of a generator of the test signals and a reference IEC flickermeter. Furthermore, we provide the results of the test protocol applied to the reference flickermeter when the errors due to generation and acquisition system are eliminated.
