Thispaperproposes arobust precoding forthespacetime block codes(STBC)andspatial multiplexing (SM)hybrid system. The overall precoding isdisassembled into independent precoder optimization ofdifferent STBC groupsbydecomposing theoverall channel matrix into several independent virtual channel matrices, this method willconsiderably reducetheamountoftherequired feedback information. Also, theprecoder optimization is basedona newderived SER boundandconsiders the uncertainty ofthechannel feedback. Simulation results demonstrate theperformance oftheproposed technique.
