Experimental campaign for the assessment of atmospheric water vapour retrieval by means of a GPS network

This paper considers the remote sensing of atmospheric integrated precipitable water vapour (IPWV) using a Global Positioning System (GPS) network in the Mediterranean area. The assessment of IPWV retrieval has been carried out by means of an experimental campaign comparing GPS estimates with measurements from a microwave dual-channel water vapour radiometer (WVR) and with data from radiosonde observations (RAOBs).
