Active and Reactive Power Control ofDFIG for Wind Energy ConversionunderUnbalanced Grid Voltage

Inthispaper,a novelcontrol methodfor smoothening thestatoractive or reactive powerripple components underunbalanced gridvoltage forwindpower generation using doubly-fed induction generators(DFIG) is proposed. Thenegative sequence componentoftherotor currentisusedtoreducetheactive andreactive power ripples, whichisextracted bybandpassfilters. Itisshown thatreducing thereactive powerripples results inthe torqueripple reduction. Simulation results usingPSCAD showtheproposed control algorithm canreduce theactive orreactive powerripple components aswellasreducing the torque andspeedripples. I~~~~~~~~~~I
