Collision system size dependence of di-hadron azimuthal correlations in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions

A systematic study on system size dependence of di-hadron azimuthal correlations in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions is simulated by a multiphase transport model. The structure of the correlation function and yield of associated particles show clear participant path-length dependences in partonic phase systems. The results indicate that the double-peak structure is sensitive to the degree of freedom of the collision system. It provides a potential probe for searching for the onset of the deconfinement and QCD phase transition boundary.
