A compensation method for thyristor rectifier control-loops

Summary This paper is concerned with a compensation method for control-loops including a thyristor controlled rectifier, especially in the case of D. C. supplies. This method is based on discrete models previously established by the authors and can be carried out with very simple analogue devices. The method provides small-signal stability and a very good transient behaviour. Despite small-signal models are used, the problem of asymptotic stability is considered. A short sensitivity analysis is made and, finally the method is applied as an example to a typical third-order system.
