A regenerative semi-dynamic frequency divider for mode-1 MB-OFDM UWB hopping carrier generation

A semi-dynamic regenerative frequency divider for MB-OFDM UWB hopping carrier generation is presented. With the ratio of 7.5, it provides quadrature symmetric 528 MHz deviation for direct frequency synthesis. Realized in 0.18 /spl mu/m CMOS, the chip occupies 0.8/spl times/0.85 mm/sup 2/. The synthesizer achieves -20 dBc image suppression while consuming 18 mW from a 1.8 V supply.
