EnglishWe report the case of a 42 year-old man who underwent an uneventful laparoscopic cholecystectomy due to a biliary colic. The patient suffered a hepatic subcapsular biloma as an immediate complication, which was managed conservatively. We describe the characteristics of the images from the abdominal CT scan (technique of choice in the diagnosis of this disease) as well as those from the magnetic resonance cholangiography, which plays an important role to rule out and/or describe the features of a possible associated lesion of the bile duct. The treatment of choice remains being controversial today, but in our case, thanks to the indemnity of the bile duct, this case could be solved successfully by successive percutaneous drainage.
