Scattering by a truncated periodic array

The problem of scattering by a frequency-selective surface (FSS) comprising an array of metallic patches is considered for investigating the effect of truncation of the FSS on its scattering characteristics. The induced surface current on each patch of the array, as well as the scattered far-field pattern of the truncated array, are computed using the spectra-Galerkin method. The usefulness of the results for the truncated screen problem in the design of FSS is discussed. >
