TEACHING WORD RECOGNITION TO SLOW‐LEARNING CHILDREN

The title of this article, “Teaching Word Recognition to Slow‐Learning Children,” might seem to imply that slow‐learning children constitute an identifiable group of children who need unique or special methods of instruction in word recognition. Is this the case? Are slow learners a unique group for whom only certain instructional methods are appropriate? This article discusses these questions.
