THEORETICAL ANALYSIS OF DELAY IN BRAKING OPERATION WHEN DRIVERS LOOKING AWAY FROM THE ROAD AHEAD

In this paper, the authors present an analysis of the delay that takes place in braking as a result of the driver looking at a display screen. They propose a calculation method in which they stochastically analyze delays in noticing danger and braking. The concepts of "noticing time", "looking away time", "event response time", and "braking response time" are studied in experiments.
