Overview of Data Gathering in Wireless Sensor Networks

Data gathering technology is crucial in wireless sensor networks.Based on the summary of the progress in data gathering technology,the recent representative data gathering algorithms in this field are analyzed.Then these algorithms are classified to 3 categories based on network structure,flow optimization and mobility,and their characteristics and application areas are compared respectively.Finally,the research strategies and trends of data gathering algorithms are summarized.
