Venturini Modulation Method For Matrix Converter

Induction motors are the most common type of AC electric motors. Their speed can be controlled with a converter. However, some of them are not that effective for monitoring motor speed. There is a need for better controllers. For effective speed control, a matrix converter made with the Venturini modulation is more effective. Venturini designed a modulation switching method for matrix converters that works well to control induction motor speed. MATLAB Simulink simulation is used to test the modulation of the matrix converter using the Venturini method. This research, therefore, develops an improved induction motor speed regulator for usage in the industrial world.
