Design and implementation of a speaker-independent voice control system of in-vehicle devices

Taking non-safety vehicle devices as the control objects,a design scheme of speaker-independent voice control based on HMM algorithm is put forward. The hardware interface design and the software design are introduced, and the system prototype is developed. The Soc speech processing chip SDA80D51 is applied in the voice recognition unit and the Freescale MCU-MC9S12XEP100 is chosen as the central chip of execution unit. The voice recognition and integrated control of vehicle's non-safety lights, automatic air-condition,windshield wipers, power windows and audio is implemented. The voice control system of in-vehicle devices is tested on the prototype platform, and the results show that the average voice recognition accuracy rate reaches 94% under the relatively quiet environment.
