Design of dynamic states and digital speed control of BLDC motor

Brushless DC motor is employed in wide variety of applications due to it's advantages over conventional DC motors. The objective of this paper is to control the speed of the BLDC motor by modeling each dynamic state of the BLDC motor operation using MATLAB/SIMULATION and to design a PID controller by designing a suitable compensator by SISO tool box. The simulated results validates the model, relates the performance of both the compensator and the PID controller and verifies that the speed control achieved by the designed PID controller is better.
