THE USE OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS IN THE STRATEGY PROCESS IN ORGANIZATIONS

This article analyzes the use and application of information systems in the process of strategy at organizations. It is an exploratory analysis, initially made five so that strategic thinking is manifested (the five P's of Strategy Mintzberg) and then, more specifically from the perspective of strategy and information systems, the exploratory analysis of the potential use and application of each type of information system can be used at each stage of strategic planning. To produce this analysis, the article has been organized to present a literature review on the concept of strategy, strategic planning and information systems. After the literature review is done analyzing the potential use and application of information systems, primarily over the five P's strategy of Mintzberg and then on the steps of strategic planning. For each step of the strategic planning was assigned a value to all types of information systems as its potential use and application. The results have been summarized in several radar charts and discussion of one and a comparative analysis results showing all side by side complete this paper.
