Benign non‐traumatic stricture of the common bile‐duct owing to penetrating duodenal ulcer

A case of stricture of the common bile‐duct owing to fibrous encasement by the chronic inflammatory changes caused by an adjacent penetrating posterior duodenal ulcer is presented. The relative rarity of the condition is noted and a rational line of treatment suggested.
