Determination of representative height distributions of the electron concentration in the ionosphere

Median height distributions of electron concentration may be determined from ionograms by means of the composite ionogram technique of Wright, or by inserting tabulated parameters in the idealized model of Bradley and Dudeney. This paper discusses the complementary nature of these two approaches. (auth)
