New integrated gas-flow sensor with duty cycle output

A new gas-flow sensor has been developed by measuring heating power in the time domain. A duty cycle output proportional to the square root of the flow velocity has been achieved to be compatible with microprocessors. It is fabricated by a standard bipolar IC technique.
