Overview of ATSC-M/H DTV Standard

This paper introduces the system framework and frame data structure of ATSC-M/H.and presents key techniques of system components(including source coding and compression,service multiplex and transport,RF/transmission).Also,M/H service data processing,such as MHE encapsulation and non-systematic RS encoding,are described in details.The time slicing technique utilized by M/H system physical layer,which can effectively reduce the average power consumption of mobile terminals is also given.Finally,some features of ATSC-M/H are summarized and the prospect of mobile TV technology is also presented.
