Standards for the nuclear fuel cycle

Discusses the preparation of fuel cycle standards by C-26 and E-10 in a cooperative effort with the ASTM committees and technical societies encompassing the voluntary consensus standards process. Reviews the development of nuclear-related standards, which now comprise over 1400 pages of the Annual Book of ASTM Standards. Points out that it was a request by the US AEC which led some of the E-10 officers and ASTM staff to the decision that it would be beneficial to have a group devoted to the review and development of nuclear fuel cycle standard needs.
