Sounding mechanisms and characteristics of various underwater sound sources

Seven types of underwater sound source techniques are ummarized,which include the explosive sound source,the electroacoustic transducer sound source,the parametric array sound source,the hydrokinetic sound source,the electro-magnetic sound source,the laser sound source and the plasma sound source.Their generating mechanisms are analyzed and compared in terms of their respective characteristics.Moreover,the mechanisms,features and applications of the plasma sound source are emphasized.The principia,the capabilities and the applications of all the 7 types of sources are finally listed in table form,providing reference for wide applications of underwater sound sources.
