Anomalous Incommensurate Soft Mode Damping in Cd2Nb2O7 and K2SeO4

Slowing down of decline of the Raman soft mode damping in the incommensurate phase as well as a steep drop of the soft mode integrated intensity at the incommensurate-commensurate phase transition show the existence of the phase mode in the incommensurate phase.
