Exploration of Seminar Teaching Mode of “Engineering Graphic” with the Characteristics of Electronic Information

Although engineering graphic is a classic engineering course, this course is overlooked dramatically in this era. In this paper, we discuss the basic ideas of seminar teaching of engineering graphic for students whose majors are not mechanical engineering. The seminar teaching is an under-going teaching reform in the university of electronic science and technology. When designing the curriculum, we considers the background of our university and explores our unique teaching mode with the characteristic of electronic information. With the help of advanced software and hardware, we should fully stimulate students' learning initiative and cultivate students' ability to discover and solve problems by introducing challenging projects and the state-of-the-art knowledge. The successful experience is summarized from the content and method. A good teaching effect has been obtained.
