Design of an Active-RC Bandpass Filter for a Subsampling RF Delta Modulator

This paper describes a new fully-differential second-order bandpass active-RC filter which is dedicated to reconfigurable receivers based on delta modulators. The filter is tunable in terms of center frequency and Q-factor. It employs an amplifier with two-path feedforward compensation that achieves a unity-gain frequency of 1 GHz with DC gain of 58 dB. 1-dB compression point of the filter is -9.6 dBm. The total power consumption of a proposed circuit implementation with a 0.13 mum CMOS technology is less than 4.6 mW when power supply is 1.2 V
