Optimization and modeling of power supply capability in distribution system based on analyzing interconnections among main transformer

According to the basic thoughts of calculating power supply capability of distribution system, which is based on the interconnections among main transformers and the N-1 guideline, this paper put forward an improved optimization calculation model of maximum power supply capability considering constraints of main transformer overloading and tie-line capacity. The model described general process of the main transformer N-1 verification and the load's second transfer caused by the main transformer's short-term overload. The model was solved using the linear optimization toolbox of MATLAB. On this basis, the paper defined three types of calculation modules for power supply capability and established the comprehensive analysis program. Finally the effectiveness of the method and model was verified through analyzing the power supply capability of a practical example.
