A scene-referred color transfer for pleasant imaging on display

Seeing 600th anniversary of Gutenberg's birth in 2000 A.D., display technology is now playing a leading role in visual communication but meets severe assessment to satisfy human vision. Not only advances in high definition devices, but also "intelligent image processing'' are indispensable for the more aesthetic and pleasant imaging. This paper introduces our challenge to "scene-referred" pleasant color transformation onto display. An objective color in reference image is transferred to that of source image, so that color atmosphere is transferred from one scene to another without any color targets or test images.
