Miniature monopole antenna based on the fractal Hilbert curve

A novel miniature antenna based on the fractal Hilbert geometry is presented. As the fractal iteration increases, the antenna becomes electrically smaller at a higher rate than any other fractal geometry presented up to now. Several fractal-shaped Hilbert monopoles have been constructed, measured and compared with the classical /spl lambda//4 monopole.
