MR imaging is clearly becoming the imaging modality of choice in the evaluation of the brain in infants and children who have seizure disorders, developmental delay, or motor dysfunction suggesting a congenital brain malformation. The acquisition of high-quality images greatly improves the diagnostic accuracy of MR studies. This article outlines techniques that will allow the reader to obtain optimum brain MR studies in pediatric patients.
