The power steering gear comprises a steering gear casing, a rack, a servo power unit and a transverse pull rod, wherein one end of the transverse pull rod is connected with one end of the rack; and the servo power unit comprises a mechanical power unit and an electronic control unit connected with the mechanical power unit. When a preset distance is formed between a rack stroke limiting part and the steering gear casing, the electronic control unit controls the mechanical power unit to output damping of which the direction is opposite to the moving direction of the rack to the rack. According to the power steering gear disclosed by the invention, when a driver turns a steering wheel and when the power steering gear reaches a limiting position, the damping of which the direction is opposite to the moving direction of the rack is output to the rack by the mechanical power unit, the rigid collision between the steering gear casing and the rack stroke limiting part is changed into flexible impact, and at the same time, the rack can be automatically rebounded for some strokes from the limiting position, and the mechanical power unit is prevented from being in the state of rotation blockage, so that the service life of the power steering gear is prolonged.
