Research on Behavioural Causes of a Major Coal Roof Accident

The roof accidents frequently occurred in China's coal mines.Research showed that the person's unsafe behavior was the main cause of the accidents.The most basic method for the behavior-based safety was to correct the person's unsafe acts and habits to achieve the purpose of the accident prevention.In this paper,the act cause,habitual cause,system cause and cultural cause of a major coal roof accident in a mine was analyzed based on the behavioral safety"2-4"model,it came to the conclusion that the organizational behavior error was the dominant cause of this accident,and its causation chain was formed.Based on the analysis results,three specific measures of training the safety habits of the employees,improving the safety management system and publicizing the safety culture were put forward.Finally,the measure chain of coal mine roof accident was formed.
