Research on Parallel Operation of Virtual Synchronous Generators in Microgrid

Combining with the excellent performance of inertia and damping of virtual synchronous generators, in this paper, the startup, power distribution and circulating current restraining method of the parallel operating virtual synchronous generators with different capacity under the microgrid are analyzed, and we establish an equivalent parallel model based on Synchronverter, this model is used to analyze the mechanism of circulating current in parallel operation. The black-start scheme of parallel virtual synchronous generators is studied. The circulating current restraining strategy and power distribution method are realized by adopting the virtual impedance technology and improving the control parameters of virtual synchronous generators. Both simulation and experimental results are given to verify the validation and feasibility of the proposed scheme.
