Techniques for breast surface reconstruction with applications

A surface reconstruction algorithm is presented to provide surface information that is integrated into an antenna positioning algorithm. The surface information is also used to construct surface models for post processing tasks such as image reconstruction and post analysis procedures that evaluate the efficiency of penetration of fields. To evaluate the efficacy of the surface reconstruction, laser measurements are acquired from surface models having varying sizes and shapes. Examples of applications that use the surface model for post processing tasks are provided.
