Adaptive assignment scheme for OVSF codes in WCDMA

In this paper an assignment scheme is proposed for OVSF-CDMA which can be used for third generation systems. The advantage of the proposed scheme is that it is adaptive to the rates of the incoming users. The proposed scheme reduces the blocking probability as compared to previous proposed assignment schemes for bursty data. The number of codes searched before call processing is also smaller as compared to some other good schemes. The reduction in number of codes searched reduces the time to choose for an appropriate code. Simulation results are presented to show the mentioned benefits. Matlab. 7.0.1 is used as tool to plot the result.
