Influence of electrical parameters on electromagnetic waves propagation in rectangular tunnels

Electrical parameters of tunnel walls have a great influence on electromagnetic(EM) waves propagation.Base on the propagation modal of rectangular tunnels and the software simulation method,the influences of different electrical parameters between side walls and roof-floor of rectangular tunnels on EM wave propagation in different polarization modes were studied.The results show that parameters of roof and floor have a great effect on EM waves of vertical polarization,and not on that of horizontal polarization;contrariwise,the parameters of side walls only have effect on EM waves of horizontal polarization.
