A Rapidly Progressive Dementia

We report a case of progressive cognitive decline in an elderly man secondary to a diagnosis of cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA). We describe the clinical presentation and investigations including the characteristic neuroradiological findings, and then briefly discuss the clinical-imaging spectrum and diagnosis of CAA, a highly prevalent but under-recognised form of cerebral small vessel disease.
