A New Slot Antenna with Triple Stop-Band Performance for UWB Applications

In this article, various methods for designing a slot antenna with triple band-notched characteristics for UWB applications are proposed. The presented antenna contains a slotted ground plane with an extra inverted U-shaped slot at its top, coupled rectangular element with circular slot on its center, and a L-shaped strip. The experimental results show that the designed antenna, with compact size of 20 × 22 mm2, has an impedance bandwidth from 2.65 to 13. 5GHz for VSWR≤ 2, except three frequency stop-bands WiMAX, wireless local area network, and ITU. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
