Prediction parameters inheritance for the 3d video coding

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoding/decoding device, a method, and a program in which prediction parameters for controlling prediction are more flexibly inherited or handed over between a plurality of different views or different contexts in a three-dimensional (3D) video codec.SOLUTION: A method encodes multiple views about 3D video, each including a texture component and a depth component. A plurality of encoders of the codec encode a plurality of video blocks about their respective views on the basis of a series of prediction parameters, such as a plurality of quadtree split flags, a plurality of prediction modes, a plurality of partition sizes, a plurality of motion fields, a plurality of inter directions, a plurality of reference indices, a plurality of luma intra modes, and a plurality of chroma intra modes. The plurality of prediction parameters may be inherited across a plurality of different views and different ones of the texture component and the depth component.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9A
