Research and development of dynamic visualization system for maritime search and rescue

An integrated visualization system of flow mathematical modeling, mathematical modeling of spilling oil and visualization is established based on VC language. Some key methods are: (1) the mathematical models are integrated by dynamic link libraries (DLL) created by Fortran language; (2) Mapinfo and MapX control technology. The system has a friendly interface and nice visualization, with menus, toolbarsand forms similar to Windows. The result of this research has been successfully applied in tracking the surface water movement in the Bohai Sea and the simulation of a ship oil spill incident.
